Meet our different beads!

Hama has a wide range of products that all have creativity in common. In addition to the different product categories, we continuously offer new pegboards in different shapes, which means that there are constant innovations for playing with Hama beads. 

Hama is creative and developing play. The beads increase children's physical and mental skills in such a way that they never think they are doing anything but playing. The products from Hama help the children and prepare them for their future at school: the fun and experimental play creates familiarity with symbols, numbers and letters. 

There is always excess beads in the buckets and boxes, so there are certainly enough beads to make the designs shown on the outside of the product. Hama is a safe toy and is continuously tested according to applicable safety standards. 

Hama Maxi 3+

Maxi beads are intended for the smallest children who have not yet developed their motor skills sufficiently to be able to handle the beads in our other systems. The big beads of 10 mm Ø are easy to place on the pegboard for little fingers, and they can be ironed when the motif is finished. Maxi is thus included in the ironing system. Maxi beads are available in 31 different colours, as well as 5 mixes.

Hama Midi 5+

Hama Midi beads are 5.0 mm Ø and can be used in 2 different ways: They can be ironed or sewn into finished motifs. The ironing system is probably what you know best. The beads are placed on a pegboard, after which they are ironed (remember to let an adult do it) until they are fused together. In addition, the beads can be sewn together to create beautiful motifs. Midi beads are available in 86 different colours, 2 Glow in the Dark, 9 mixes as well as striped beads in 3 mixes.

Hama Mini 10+

Hama Mini beads are our smallest beads of only 2.5 mm Ø. This size is intended for children aged 10+. Many adults also like to use the Mini beads instead of cross-stitch embroidery. Due to the size of the beads, very detailed motifs can be made. You have to have patience. The Mini beads are available in 79 different colours.

Bio beads

We are pleased to introduce the newest addition to the Hama family - Bio beads - made from a sugar cane by-product. They are as versatile as the original Hama beads - you can even mix them with your current bead collection. The use of our bioplastics is CO2 neutral – a win for all our environmentally conscious creatives – and you can recycle them just like our others beads. Bio beads are available in a range of 15 selected colors and can also be used on all our existing Hama pegboards. But if you're all in on the bioplastics, we've also added five new Bio pegboards, in beautiful geometric shapes.

Hama Bead-Tac

It is always a pity when a beautiful bead design is ruined after you have spent time and energy making it. With Hama Bead-Tac the problem is solved. Place the Hama Bead-Tac on the pegboard with the adhesive side facing up. Then add the beads to the pegboard. The beads can be moved around until you have achieved the desired design. The motif is then ironed, and the Hama Bead-Tac can be removed from the pegboard. Hama Bead-Tac can be used several times.

Maxi Stick

It is fun for the youngest children, with their small fingers, to create motifs with the colourful, attractive, half-round sticks. The sticks are easy to hold, and they can easily be placed and moved around on the pinboard. The pinboard is very sturdy and durable. In addition, there are only the holes you need. The child gets a completely different experience of success. Furthermore, the sticks are designed in such a way that they are not immediately pressed all the way down, which makes it easier to move them again.
